It would be helpful if you could provide more information, like the type of  
file system (ext2/ext3/ext4/ntfs/what?) and exactly in what way you're  
renaming it. (For example, is it a change or case or what?) Details matter.  
In some cases, for example, if the name is only a change in case you can't do  
it. You'll need to give it a new, temporary name and then rename it to the  
final name. Details, details please!
