The Lexmark printer frequently won't work in Trisquel due to the need for proprietary drivers. HP's are usually a better bet, but it still depends on the model. Got to be careful because some line ups are fraught with non-free components (pretty much all of the laser all-in-ones for example and many of the low end lasers, but the b/w and color lasers are OK depending on the model, and many of the inkjet all-in-ones are ok, as well as the regular inkjet printers). There are still some other issues even after taking all that into consideration. For instance the version of HPLIP included in Trisquel is older than whats currently readily avalable on the market so simply walking into a store you'll find all or nearly all of the printers are not really Trisquel-friendly even if you have a list of good printers and know exactly what to look for (HP does do an excellent job documenting it, but, you still need to know what to look at, so :( ).
