I wonder if this cursor bug in Gedit is responsible for my issue with
Gedit and the orca screen reader, when using Trisquel 7? When I type
characters, orca loses track of the cursor. Moving focus to another
window, then back to gedit restores orca's ability to read the text
window, until I change something again. When I use another text editor,
such as mousepad or leafpad, I don't see this problem.

The most serious is in gedit 3.10.4. If I do copy/paste operations using
Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V, the I-bar cursor disappears (every time). I can get
it back by clicking on another application window, then clicking on the
gedit window again.
