I wasn't being sarcastic. I don't think being able to always see the amount  
of free space on your hard drive is a "vital part" of the file manager. I've  
never made use of this kind of feature on any file manager I ever used. It's  
not information I need to know often, and the information being a couple of  
clicks away in the Properties window is sufficient.
