There aren't any serious GNU/Linux viruses, so Clam actually detects Windows  
viruses. Its purpose it to protect Windows users you send files to. So if you  
frequently send files to Windows users that might be or have viruses, you may  
find Clam useful. Otherwise, you probably won't ever have a use for it.
