I have switched to freeslack.
When the dust has settled on the systemd controversy and the various accusations against is have been proven to be groundless, or there is simply no longer any choice at all, I'll consider accepting it on this machine. But I don't see me ever accepting Gnome, unless there's some change in the developer's attitude and I have given it a good run for its money, but it drives me to distraction with its needless, 'intellectual engineering' driven design.
So the discovery of Trisquel and in particular some of the conversations I've had on this forum have cleared my compromise ridden thinking towards software and have enabled me to find a better direction, for which I am grateful. But freeslack has allowed me to run my beloved Slackware without the proprietary stuff and for this puppy that is just about as awesome as IT gets.
