I've found some packages in Trisquel that do not respect the Free System
Distribution Guidelines. I also created bug reports for Trisquel but I did
not get a response. In one case this package was inherited directly from
Debian[1] and I posted a warning not to include cadencii in GNewSense[2].
Recently I began to write a free software replacement for some proprietary
programs and I want to make the software avialable for all Trisquel users. It
should be better to fix the bug in Debian but I don't write access to any of
the Debian Projects resources. And I don't agree to the Debian social
contract[3], so I won't be able to become a Debian Maintainer [4].
I also think that a Skype replacement is important so I began building
packages of gnunet[5]. There is a program called gnunet-conversation that
could be included in a testing repository in Trisquel. This program is not
included in Debian testing. A free replacement for Bittorrent Sync[6] could
use the same infrastructure that the Skype replacement needs.
