Are you suggesting Asus is using digital restriction on the wifi card slot?  
If so I'd like to know. I haven't heard of them using digital restrictions  
before that I can recall, but that doesn't mean they don't. I was not aware  
that Acer has been using digital restrictions as of late as well.
