Are we absolutely sure that Hello is free and that the button wasn't removed
because of an oversight or low priority (since many of us just use Tor
browser bundle anyway)?
I'd like to try it if so, but I'm still a bit skeptical and would prefer not
to create any more accounts or have any more of a web presence than I already
do.
I would use videoconferencing to make sure my octogenarian father who lives
3,000 miles away is okay and so that he can interact with his 7yo grandson.
He says he loves his iPad but he's too old and wifty for funny things like
the weird dropbox substitute and that Facebook diaspora thingummy I sent him
links to because he didn't put his foot down about my Mom's Hippie phase
before she took me to too many Pete Seeger concerts. ;)
Jitsi appeals to me more, but I'm mostly fine with text instead of
videoconferencing. I don't look a THING like feminist hacker barbie and i'd
rather just let my friends get to know me through my words.
