I'm in the process of creating a student group to study and promote free software usage - although I'm a bit late, and won't see it in it's best days, but I'll try my best to keep it running -, and, when declaring the group's opposition to services as software substitutes, I was thinking: is webmail deployed in a mail server's website a service as a software substitute? Just for clarity: I'm considering only the perspective of the users of the service, not the service's/server's. I think this question is important because many mail service providers also provide POP3 or IMAP access, and so allowing mail clients to send/receive e-mails. Respectfully, Adonay.
