Some people are irrationally upset about systemd because it's different than
what they're used to. In other words, this trope:

In truth, systemd does just about everything better than SysV-init. The only
competition it had was Upstart (which is what Ubuntu and consequently
Trisquel currently use), and Ubuntu decided to switch to systemd, because
Debian chose it, because it's better. And even if you don't like systemd, as
you say, there's nothing stopping you from using the crappy old SysV-init,
anyway.
