I can see some doubletalk in this forum going on, too.
Lately, tomlukeywood wanted to somehow make his family use replicant phones
instead of some proprietary ones (if i remember correctly), though they don't
value freedom.
The most respected answer was that he shouldn't try to "trick" them into
using free software if they don't value freedom, because that's no good
anyway on the long run;
like: let them harm themselves if they don't get it.
Now i read that one shouldn't recommend debian because users might not be
conscious about the issue with proprietary software and end up running it;
i'm refering to the gnu website.
Somehow a contradiction.
