Could you open a terminal, type 'lspci' and show us the output? We will then  
see the exact hardware you have. It is quite probable that Linux-libre  
(Trisquel's kernel) does not support your Wifi chipset. You could then buy an  
adapter from ThinkPenguin ( http://libre.thinkpenguin.com ) or Tehnoetic (  
http://tehnoetic.com ), which are the only two vendor that guarantee that all  
their hardware works with Linux-libre. As for the Ethernet connection, it is  
quite surprising that it does not work...
