Java is considered an enterprise programming language. If you want to be a  
programmer who goes in to work every day in a suit and tie, its for you.

I love Python for the elegance of the language. The issue of performance is  
not big of an issue if you convert to C via Cython or use the PyPy runtime.  
Both are free software.
