On several Dell computers, different types, I try to install Trisquel 7.0.
During installation, almost at the end, installation program get stuck.
After hitting the enter key, it then stated errors about diskspace, being less than 50MB free space.
On a 80GB disk with no dual boot installation that is.
In the black screen I find errors stating "no free firmware, failed to request firmware". This now is the second Dell computer that gave me those exact same errors during Trisquel 7.0 installation. Suppose it is all about Dell alternative drivers, not available or not for free?
Do I need another Linux brand here instead?
How to circumvent these problems?
These are all P4 2.8Ghz CPU and 2GB of memory.
Has anyone encounter same kind of trouble with Trisquel installation on Dell systems? Earlier, installing Trisquel 7.0 on a Asus system went well with a Celeron 1Ghz CPU and 1GB of memory.
