Here's another thing...When I installed those packages individually minus the main meta "xserver-xorg-lts-vivid" package, my lightdm wouldn't start and even when I tried an alternative like lxdm, it would kick me to the terminal on boot.
I don't know if this is a bug or an issue, but this doesn't affect lightdm when this lts-vivid xorg package is installed by default on the Ubuntu 14.04.3 ISO.
