In fact, I think Vinagre (GNOME's VNC client) is installed by default. It can  
be found under the Internet menu, "Remote Desktop Viewer".

It would make no sense for you to have to use a particular VNC client. All of  
them use the same protocol. RealVNC is just a particular proprietary  
implementation.
