Today I tried KVM & QEMU. Yes, it is much easier.
For my case, I need an extra argument '-show-cursor' as in following

$ sudo kvm -m 1024 -cdrom trisquel_7.0_amd64.iso -show-cursor -boot d  
trisquel.img
