I haven't used it myself, but I know people who do and they enjoy it. The  
maintainer of the Linux-libre kernel, Alexandre Oliva, is one of the people  
using it.

Personally I use GNU social (at https://quitter.se/), but I'd love to see  
Twister and GNU social federate somehow.
