It would be possible to DRM JPG if the tech is in place to do so. Anybody who
has ever taken a picture of a screen (at least back in the 1990s) with
hardware rendering can get an idea of how it would work. Basically what you
get is a black blotch where the video is. The graphics card ends up decoding
(or in this case decrypting) the video and sending it directly over the wire
to the monitor. The modern HDMI cables and the likes all support it actually
so you could probably do it such that even the output could only be displayed
by a monitor which supports the digital restriction/encryption. At that point
the only way to capture the image is to take a picture of it using a camera.
