I tried that a bunch of times didn't work also I tried k3b that didn't work  
either. I tried simpleburn and that worked but it finished burning it with an  
error but I think that was a mistake because the md5sum on the cd passed so  
must be bug in simpleburn. I checked the iso image of course and the md5sum  
for the iso passed. I tried on both my internal and external dvd burner and  
on different machines still same issue but again burning with simpleburn  
solves the issue.
