Isn't Performous a little bit like fofix (frets on fire)? If so, I've been  
working on some songs for fofix with lyrics. I've been using guitar pro taps  
and EOF (editor on fire) 1.8 to get the tones and lyrics right. EOF 1.8 as a  
new function called "Import GP style lyric text"

Also, EOF has another option to import guitar pro taps (gp5 and under) which  
can be use to get the tones from the vocals part of a guitar pro file.
