Do you have http://packages.trisquel.info/belenos/gstreamer1.0-libav  
installed?

You may have to go in about:config as well, search for mp4 and webm and set  
to True. I know the mediasource and fragmented settings for webm will enable  
the vp9 codec for YouTube.
