If you're looking to make Icecat always run in private mode, then all you  
have to do is go to preferences>privacy then under history change Icecat  
will: Use custom settings for history and you'll see a new option you can  
check that says Always use private browsing mode.

It won't show an icon or any indication (outside of checking the settings in  
preferences or testing it yourself) that it's in private mode after the  
browser is restarted, but it will be.
