I am having a peculiar problem with the GNU GRUB bootloader.
I recently installed it again using a live CD (from a different OS, because that was all I had access to) because I was having trouble with my original GRUB installation, using the grub-install command, which was quite difficult. However, I managed to get GRUB to install and it loaded. However, it says "welcome to GRUB" and then says "no symbol table". I am able to select my OS, but it says "no symbol table, press any key to continue" and then boots absolutely fine. It is not a problem stopping me booting Trisquel. I am just curious as to why GRUB comes up with this message and how I might be able to fix it.
Thanks in advance.
