And when I am working, there are always two windows open, side by side. I can't tell how to make my work take the full screen. I think this has something to do with the window manager however, not emacs. Not clear on this.
Two things I don't get about emacs when editing: Shift + left mouse click
gets you to a menu that can allegedly get the font size bigger and smaller.
But when I choose any of the options it changes little or nothing at all.
For example, if I go to Courier and change the font size to 24, nothing
happens. If I go to Fontset and reset to standad 16-dot medium, the font
enlarges just a touch, barely even noticeable. Am I missing some plug-in or
something that makes this all work? I don't know. I always set my font size
to HUGE when I am working. Much easier on the eyes.
