Strangely, trying different things i.e. doing an encrypted back up on an
encrypted drive (that is decrypted for the duration of the back up), doing an
encrypted back up on an unencrypted drive, doing an unencrypted back up on an
unencrypted drive, I get different error messages. Here's a screen shot of
