I am considering purchasing the Thinkpenguin Wifi USB

but I am wondering whether this will be good enough. If you own this device  
let me know how it works for you, and whether it is worth purchasing.

I am also considering

but this seems like overkill perhaps.

Do free wifi drivers work better in general than non-free ones? This question  
is sort of irrelevant because I am choosing not to use a non-free driver but  
it would be interesting to know.
