I really hate to split hairs, but maybe it's a good idea to check the  
spelling of the English translation first. ;-D It could, for example, rather  
look like:

"GSD is a simple GnuSocial client for GNU/Linux. It is written in C and GTK  
and has been released as free software (i.e. it respects your freedom!)."
