Enlightenment 17 has been quite an interesting experience so far. I still have not installed a frontend for connman, which is a bit of a pain in the ass. There are a few desktop clients to choose from, I've found the following list:

I may go back to Gnome Shell.

ps. Xmonad (tiling window manager) was an interesting experience a while back, but required changing work habits quite a bit as well as a lot of customization.
