Agreed. Although these are pre-release specifications, it is slightly
concerning that they deemed a Broadcomm CPU of all things to be acceptable.

I would argue they aren't really like these other projects in that they do
seem to be committed to free boot firmware rather than a quick buck on
Kickstarter or kudos from tech journalists; it does not seem comparable to
the Purism Librem laptop computers...
Since these are pre-release specifications, we the target audience should
tell them we demand a fully free software friendly system. Also it would be
an amazing system with just text mode :-) Lynx with 130GoB of RAM? Yes
please!
It seems like they are leaning towards just selling the mainboard and CPU and
RAM. If they did for some reason offer it with the Broadcomm wireless or AMD
GPU, at least then it would be possible to remove the offending articles and
replace the GPU with one of the old NVIDIA ones.
It's 3000 USD, though, so they are certainly a put-off.
