Don't use the owncloud or owncloud-client packages from the repository - they  
are unmaintained and the owncloud team advises against using them (I think  
the owncloud package was even recently removed). Simply use the offical ppas  
from the owncloud team: deb  
http://download.owncloud.org/download/repositories/stable/Ubuntu_14.04/ /
 for owncloud (server), and deb  
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/isv:/ownCloud:/desktop/Ubuntu_14.04/  
/ for owncloud (client).
