I tried increasing the DPI and that works for many objects and texts. The
Pupi theme was excellent, but also work only for the desktop look. All the
applications, like Abrowser or system settings, is tiny with tiny text.
I switched to Trisquel standard login, and there applications has a normal
workable size. I think both GNOME desktops also scales everything up. One
comment I found somewhere said "forget it" about a scaling function for high
resolutions in XFCE. That was 2014, but perhaps still true.
Screen is excellent in XFCE, perhaps better than the "scaled" ones in
Trisquel and GNOME. But unfortunately to small for my eyes to be comfortable.
GNOME Classic is best working so far, but using Alt-F2 in Trisquel standard
is also possible. With panels I would definitely go for standard.
