[Trisquel-users] VGA display program?

Was wondering what trisquel gnu/linux runs when a vga cable is plugged in to  
another device (monitor, projector, etc.)
I am presenting some research and plan on plugging in to a projector.
I tested it this morning in my classroom, and everything displayed properly,  
but the system must first start with the vga cable plugged in order to work.
I ran 'ps aux' to look around for the program that runs to output the  
display, but did not have enough time find it.
Help is much appreciated.
