I want to move files in the home folder from an ubuntu computer to a debian 8
computer via lan cable cross over cable. I get a permission denied message. I
have asked the question on a couple of gnulinux forums. No answers. Either
because it is difficult or nobody makes ethernet cross over cable
connections.
I have marked folders with folder sharing. Set folder permissions. Set the
static ip addresses. The shared folders display on the network on the debian
computer. If I want to move files, I get a persmission denied message.
Suggestions?
There is software called samba server configuration. Is it an option? I
tested it and I got a permission denied message.
