I was thinking of having it start as a debian fork but then become an
independent fork.
Does anyone, know how to modify a debian iso to change package list, firmware
list, etc, etc,
I probably should base it off of debian stretch testing right?
I want this to be bleeding edge, and stable/secure/lightweight. I also would
have lxde and mate as the MAIN desktop environment options.
I wondered if anyone could give me advice on this.
I was thinking of fedora also, but I decided tar is a better package system
for my needs.
I would help with gnewsense considering this, but long term support isn't my
thing.
I would want to support only two versions at a time. (every two years a new
version. I want it to be completely libre/free software and more importantly,
license GPL 3.
Of course I would need to test it virtually first with qemu or something of
that sort right?
at any rate, This could be very interesting... so, feel free to fill me in
on these questions and thoughts.
I am a writer also, so I could easily think of a name. Though first naming is
important. ;)
