that's because libreboot's default config is designed for many use cases, of  
which yours isn't one.

if /boot is encrypted, as it may be if you followed the Libreboot  
instructions for istallation, you need to add your config using cbfstool, as  
"grubtest.cfg", reflash,  then test until you are happy
