Ruby authoring

with the Ruby management layer all set up
I'm moving into editing of Ruby files
I have noticed that an older version of Emacs is available on Trisquel  
through the Debian repository
but neither Textmate nor Aptana are available for Ruby editing
I am wondering
of the Ruby devs we have here
who uses which editor, and what are the recommendations
