So far the only problem I've had has been with the unavailability of some of  
the dependencies for the gimp, so that it can't be installed. But I realize  
that's because it's still in alpha. Mate is running great, and looks great.  
It looks much better than gnome fallback. I'll probably keep it right through  
to the official release.
