I'm pretty sure not. Ubuntu doesn't actually contain any proprietary stuff by  
default, except for firmware. Replacing the kernel with a free one gets rid  
of that. That said, this isn't an official statement.

Also, is the new ISO worth downloading? I'd like to have a look, but I'll  
wait if it's still extremely unstable.
