Hardware support depends on the kernel.  You could install Trisquel's 6  
kernel package on Trisquel 7 (with 'sudo dpkg -i').  The problem may come  
from the kernel configuration (chosen by Trisquel developers before  
compiling).  Have you tried a kernel from another source such as  
http://jxself.org/linux-libre/ ?
