When trying to transfer my Windows 10 backup files on my external hard drive to my computer that is running Trisquel I had a lot of my files pretty unorganized inside of zip files. I have a lot of my files scattered about inside of approximately 1500 zip files. Is there an easier way to organize my files again so that I can get all of my Word documents back (probably what I need the most)? I did get some back but even then the files wouldn't open in LibreOffice Writer. Or is there a way to access the files again from my hard drive on my computer since all I did was an OS switch? I didn't see my files anywhere, that's why I transferred them from the external hard drive containing the backup. When I talked to a guy from Seagate (the manufacturer of the external hard drive) he said that I may be able to purchase some kind of converter to change the format of my hard drive from NTFS to XFS. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Unfortunately, the software that goes with the external hard drive doesn't support Linux. Only one partition on my hard drive is formatted in NTFS and that is the Microsoft Windows Recovery Environment. I have four other partitions. They are a EFI system partition with FAT (32 bit version) format, a Microsoft Reserved partition with an unknown format, a Basic Data partition with Ext4 (version 1.0) format, and a Microsoft Windows Recovery Environment with a Swap (version 2) format. Also, if my wording is a little off please let me know so I can be clearer to people in the future.
