I've heard you can use Hubzilla for the same purpose, but haven't had a  
chance to try it. I've also been told via The Federation (I'm  
strypey[at]quitter[dot]se) about a couple of P2P alternatives including  
SyncThing. Haven't figured out how to install or test any of them yet. I need  
to set up a VM or a dual-boot where I can install stuff for testing and eval  
from PPAs, compile from source etc, in such a way that I can quickly reset it  
to a fresh system if it screws things up.
