There's one inaccuracy in my message above. I cannot edit it any more, so  
I'll put my correction here.

Xterm copy paste: higlight text somewhere and middle click with your mouse OR  
(with the keyboard) shift+insert. With the mouse, you don't have to use  
shift. Just the second mouse button (middle button).
