[Trisquel-users] Thunderbird in Trisquel 8

So I recently noticed that Thunderbird is now installed in place of Icedove  
in Trisquel 8. I understand the Thunderbird project has distanced itself from  
Mozilla; but as far as I am aware Mozilla still handles the trademark and  
legal aspects of the project.

My question is can we now consider Thunderbird a libre package?
