my X200 also gets rather hot, specially if the weather is hot as well. I've  
had kernel panics because of that.

But sometimes the CPU % gets very high as well.
Both CPU use and CPU temp get super high only for a few seconds. But this can  
happen frequently.

But I use the default system indicators, no additional software.
