No, I guess I just included that line because it was the only thing happened  
between login and the disconnect. I checked the log again and it seems to  
occur every hour (17 minutes and 1 second):

Jul  8 03:17:01 desktop1 CRON[2390]: (root) CMD (   cd / && run-parts  
--report /etc/cron.hourly)
Jul  8 04:17:01 desktop1 CRON[2773]: (root) CMD (   cd / && run-parts  
--report /etc/cron.hourly)
Jul  8 05:17:01 desktop1 CRON[2823]: (root) CMD (   cd / && run-parts  
--report /etc/cron.hourly)

(and so on)
