[Trisquel-users] Upgrading from Trisquel 6 to 7

Trisquel 6 is the best OS I have ever used. So, until today I had a computer  
running T6 without upgrading (or connecting to the Internet for the past year  
or so). I used it for writing and some of the other basic work I do. There  
was no reason to upgrade because it works fine.

I now want to see if it is possible to upgrade to 7 without doing a fresh  
installation. I tried sudo do-release-upgrade . But is returns a message  
saying there is no upgrade available. Even though the GUI update manager  
should indicate the availability of a new version, it too doesn't show such a  
notification.

It is not possible to upgrade from 6 to 7 now. Is it too late? Or what should  
I do to make this happen? What are the steps I should take?
