I was always a fan of totem. I was happy with the way in which it evolves  
with GNOME shell. Recently, I realized that, there is some performance issue  
while playing HD files on totem. The video suspends in between.

Then I gave a try with gnome-mpv and my experience was very much positive. It  
is able to stream HD videos without any issue.
