I tried to install Trisquel 8 from the latest iso on Trisquel's download page  
( https://trisquel.info/en/download )

on my mbp 9,1 right now, and that didn't work and gave me the same errors  
some of you were talking about a while back.

Anybody recently installed Trisquel on Macs? What iso image did you use, and  
did you use DVD or USB?
